Main Characters
You are a 19 year old sophomore at Ocean City University. You grew up in Ocean City and were very happy until your life took a turn just over three years ago. You have just been going through the motions since, even keeping some distance from those closest to you. However, things begin to change once Alice and Mia enter your life and you start living life again, leading to answers about the past and new dangers in the present.
Alice is your new roommate and a game design major at Ocean City University. She is a 19 year old sophomore, and just transferred to OCU from a small community college. She is a very energetic and intelligent young woman, but also inexperienced and naive. Her mother died when she was 11, the loss was hard on her and it was compounded by the fact that her father sunk into a deep drunken depression and became a completely different person after the loss of his wife. This made the last eight years very hard for Alice, but she persevered and kept up her cheerful personality.
Mia is also your new roommate. She is 19 and a sophomore music major at Ocean City University and the bass player in a band. Mia is creative, outgoing, and fearless. Her parents were very strict and kept her very sheltered during her childhood, but after she moved to Ocean City for college, she met her bandmates and they helped transform her into the strong independent woman she is today.
Jamie is your childhood friend and former roommate. She is a 21 year old senior at Ocean City University majoring in education. Jamie is extremely friendly and trusting. You've known Jamie and her little sister your whole life as your families were very close and in many ways, she was like your big sister growing up.
Kathryn is Jamie's 18 year old sister. If you considered Jamie your big sister, then Kathryn was like your little sister. The two of you were great friends and were growing even closer when tragedy struck three years ago. During her freshmen year of high school, she was in an accident that cost her her left leg, changing all of your lives forever, even in ways no one could have expected.
Alexandra is a 27 year old FBI agent on a task force investigating the Syndicate. Both of her parents were FBI, but her father was killed in the line of duty while she was in college and her mom left the bureau soon after. She joined the FBI at 24 and as a rookie agent she worked with your parents until their deaths.
Elizabeth is a close family friend. She was born in England, but grew up in Austria. She came to Ocean City for a student exchange program in high school and your mom's parents were her host family. She returned to Ocean City for college, and has stayed in the U.S. ever since. She is now 36 and the dean of Sheridan Community College.
Violet is a 21 year old MI6 agent and part of the anti-Syndicate task force. She was born in Ocean City, but her mother fled home to England with her and her half brother Marcus after her father killed Marcus's mother for learning the truth about him.
Talia is a 19 year old sophomore at Ocean City University and Kat's roommate. A misunderstanding shortly after moving in to their dorm room led to a falling out and increasing conflict between the two young women, but after Kat moves out, circumstances will bring Talia into your lives and allow the two to reconcile their differences and become good friends.
Other Characters
Rebecca is a yoga instructor and your boss. She was also the assistant coach for Kat's high school track team, although she wasn't on the bus during the accident. She's been a good friend to you over the years, but there is still a lot about her past that you don't yet know.
Kara is Alice's boss at the cafe, but she is also an FBI agent and the head of an anti-Syndicate task force. She lost her husband during her first encounter with the Syndicate and left the bureau shortly after. After your parents died, she rejoined to help protect her daughter and was put in charge of the anti-Syndicate task force by the director.
Sakura is a 19 year old sophomore business major at Ocean City University and Mia's best friend and bandmate.
Melissa is 24 and the bartender at club Neon. She had her own heartbreaking encounter with a Syndicate member six years ago and may have information that could prove useful to the task force's investigation.
Rachael is a 26 year old officer with the OCPD. She was one of the first responders to the bus crash that cost Kat her leg and was the officer sent to inform you of the death of your parents.
Antonio is a DEA agent and part of the anti-Syndicate task force. He's a gentle giant most of the time, but when the job calls for it, he's a force to be reckoned with.
Brad is Jamie's fiancé. He seemed like an alright guy at first, but as time has gone on, both Kat and yourself have grown more distrustful of him.
Jason is a member of one of the Syndicate's Ocean City cells. A dangerous hothead, he often angers his superiors by taking actions that potentially endanger the Syndicate's larger goals.
Jack is a high ranking member of an Ocean City Syndicate cell. A calm and collected individual, Jack is often tasked with attempting to keep Jason out of trouble and cleaning up his messes when that fails.
Victor is the current head of the Western North America division of the Syndicate. He's a cruel and cunning man who's loyalty to the Syndicate has seen him richly rewarded.
Dante has proven himself an asset to the Syndicate, which is why Victor made him the head of the cell developing Eros. A powerful leader and dangerous enemy, you would be wise to be on your toes around him.
Thomas is the head of R&D within Dante's Syndicate cell and will be your boss within the Syndicate should you choose to help Violet by going undercover with her. He is a charismatic con man who has achieved his current position on the back of other people's work.
